Maggie Gunzel

Welcome! My name is Maggie Gunzel (born at Voorburg 1967).

I am fascinated by old folktales, myths and legends, among other from the Celtic culture. I paint figurative and mostly with oil paint and watercolour.

With my paintings I like to take people into a narrative world. People step into the painting to discover their own story in a dreamy in-between world. You can get away from reality for a while and reflect on your own thoughts. Just like reading a book. I would like to show that the mythical and fairytale world is accessible to everyone.
